Falling Block Game
Development: FBG v0.9
2002-12-23T08:00Z
Version 0.9 of Falling Block Game is now available for download! This is a massive update to Falling Block Game that adds optional background music (by Andre Seffrin), a choice of themes (default and a shiny, new winter theme), as well as a low CPU-usage (light) mode, in case you want to play Falling Block Game while you render an image or compile some new software. Many bugs have also been fixed for this release (jumpy blocks, crash-on-exit to name a few).
This will probably be the last release of Falling Block Game for a little while, since I'm going to be doing a few other things for a bit. Falling Block Game is by no means finished (customizable key bindings would be nice), but features such as this will likely not be added for at least a few months.
In non-Falling Block Game news, the author of FCEU said that he would be stopping work on his NES/Famicom emulator. Since FCEU is open source, I decided that me and a few other coders would fork FCEU to create Phamicom. Phamicom is just starting development, so don't expect a release for a while, but it currently compiles and can run all the games that FCEU could (all but a handful of pirated games =)
